Area Sales Manager, Europe
Our client is a growing success within the automation industry. They develop and supply advanced hi-tech automation solutions through an expanding network of global partners to be positioned on all the strategic markets.
To strengthen the Sales Organization, we are looking for an Area Sales Manager in Europe with the responsibility of developing and implementing the company’s regional sales strategy.
Developing European Sales
You will be part of a dynamic and ambitious start-up company, with dedicated employees who are all focused on growing the sales of our client´s unique technology with relevant distributors and dealers. After the initial learning you will be responsible for developing sales to distributors and dealers on the European market. Our client will be represented on all the strategic markets in the robot and automation industry. You will report back information of market, demand and needs of the customers in each and every market.
Based on the direct contact with dealers concerning customer inquiries and “cold leads”, your task will be to make the technical clarification with the dealers / customers, and bring this feedback to the innovation and development resources. You will also be responsible for sales training and informing dealers on any key information concerning the company´s products and technology.
Technical interest and experience with sale
Your background will probably include a relevant educational background from either engineering or business administration, supplemented with experience of working with technical sales for 4-5 years, where you can show a proven track record. Experience from automation or robot technology will be a further advantage. As the job will involve sales activities in most of Europe, you must be able to travel 80-100 days per year, where the task will be to both visit distributors and dealers, but also to attend exhibitions where you will be responsible for the company’s strategy towards this. Your language skills involves English and Danish in writing and orally at a proficient professional level in order for you to communicate independently with the customers. Some German language skills will be a further advantage.
To be a success in this position you should be challenge driven and possess a strong character, be a good communicator, be result oriented and a good executer. You will have to possess a high level of discipline and persistency enabling you to negotiate and close deals and contracts. Furthermore, your cross-cultural skills should be very much present in your daily work.
